We had the exciting opportunity to work on the short film Tektite by Smaragda Nitsopoulou, an imaginative and emotional narrative centered around Sevasti and her surreal connection with a mysterious meteorite. The film portrays a woman whose life is transformed when a black stone crashes into her living room, growing nightly and isolating her from the world, until it manifests as a vision of her late husband.

Our team brought the film’s compelling imagery to life through detailed special effects and 3D modeling. We created the evolving meteorite, making sure it seamlessly grew in presence and impact throughout the story. Additionally, we tackled a significant challenge with the living room ceiling: we replaced parts of it in post-production to convincingly depict a hole, adding imagery that suggested the meteorite’s immense force breaking through the structure. Our post-production work included inserting a bird, enhancing the atmospheric tone and thematic symbolism. Collaborating on Tektite allowed us to push creative boundaries, making the otherworldly and intimate narrative vivid and believable.
